Hello...I just wanted to tell you that you are an incredible inspiration for me. I am an indigenous language teacher here on the Tule River Indian Reservation, in California. I am not yet fluent, but I studied with one of our few remaining speakers until she passed away two years ago. I thought that once she left, that was it...I would not learn anymore. You have shown me that it is possible, and for that I thank you! I pray that you continue to inspire new generations of speakers, and that one day, your language (all of our languages) will be spoken freely again.
